Talking about vaccinations....
A friend who joined the army during WW2 said vaccine hesitancy was not an option then.
You were in a line that marched forward and you got one shot after another - with big needles.
He said some great big guys fainted at the sight.

Wonder how long it will be for they start jumping ship again.

18 days in Valparaiso and I only counted 5 deserters when we left.

Sorry just noticed I spelt Valparaiso wrong on a few log pages.

5 deserters at Valparaiso and on 2nd day in Coquimbo, Chili, 10 declared stragglers.

Captain of BMS "Mutine" came on board.

Lost count of the names of crew who have been reported as deserters but when we sailed from Coquimbo, Chili it was reported that 24 members of the crew were reported as being absent.

Now we are damaging ourself.
1740 Got underway from Callao and In casting fouled a merchant bark and stove the stern brat. (4th Latter)
1930 The main brace bumpkin which had been damaged by the collision in the previous watch parted whilst bracing up the main yard.
