Next roll 3 and 5 move I am off to Com chest East.

Hi Chris - I dropped you a PM because I think I was more up-to-date than at first sight - let me know what you think. I'll wait to hear from you before throwing for Morgan's new round ;) :)

PS, I will be away from June 17th to June 28th. My participation may be spotty, because I won't have my little notebook computer.

Joan is right, I forgot to process her second-to-last move. My bad.
Fortunately, it's easy to correct. Now she's on Donkey Boilers, and the M200 have been taken from her account due to Naval Fines Office.

Now, we only need Michael to take a turn, and THEN a new round can start.
Please make sure you really are the last person to go before using that cannon picture!

Michael's move
From Famagusta: Throwing 5 + 1 = 6 => Chance S

For Chance

Throwing 3
You ship out on the 'Alaska' in Alaska. It arrives as a 3D jigsaw on the beach. Go directly to Drydock
Bummer!

You are now on Drydock

From Pearl to Liverpool, that's a long stretch. Pay fee.

another 2+3 takes me past Go onto Community Chest.

8... What's THIS!? Contraband rubber onions!? Off to DS Intrepid and collect M150. Do I pay the lighthouse?

Helen J wrote:Wed Jan 18, 2012 8:42 pm Just had to share this from my current OW reading (which some of you may have heard of by now!), Julian Thompson's Imperial War Museum Book of the War at Sea 1914-18. He's writing about the Northern Patrol, and the checking of ships for contraband. He answers one of my questions about what information captains had, with mention of the War Trade Intelligence Department, established in January 1915, which collated all the information and intelligence about enemy trading activities, and could supply up to date information about every firm mentioned in a ship's papers.
He also mentions the ingenuity of the ships carrying contraband, which was 'carried in hollow masts, double decks and bulkheads, and even rubber onions. This last only discovered by an onion bouncing on the deck.'
Sadly he doesn't say what kind of contraband could be concealed in a rubber onion - we'll just have to use our imaginations ... ???

I'd agree with Bunts on this. I'm sure rubber was on the list of contraband (per that well-known promoter of gender equality, E Keble Chatterton).

;D
He keeps on bouncing back, doesn't he?

Yes.

This is invalid because you already took your turn for this round (things got a little confused earlier because someone claimed to have started a round when they actually hadn't).
You are still on Chest East, please make sure to start from there on your next turn.

As for me - 1 and 4, so still in Drydock.

I get 3 + 3, so I'm out of Drydock and head to Singapore, M14 to Michael.

Michael: If you ever need cash, I will gladly buy Singapore.

I finally got internet. It seems like my attacks on the Naval Fines Office finally caught up with me, so I plan to sit here and reflect on the errors of my ways.
