World Community Grid
Dear volunteer,

Thank you for your continued support of the World Community Grid while we move to our new home at the Krembil Research Institute.

We have transferred all the data and we are performing the initial backup and verifying data integrity to then begin the final stress-testing of the servers. Workunits flow has stopped and will restart when the migration is finished.

Volunteers do not need to take any specific action, as any devices running BOINC/WCG will automatically start receiving work units when the system is back up.

We will keep a simplified website online, to ensure we can share progress with you, and to provide additional information during this final phase of transition. We appreciate your support, and look forward to working with you on finishing existing projects and working on the new ones.

Sincerely,

The World Community Grid TEAM – Together Everyone Accomplishes More

Had you setup VirtualBox VM for Rosetta@home's python projects in the past?
And are you wondering why you don't receive such tasks any more?

Turns out Rosetta silently added a host-based setting to allow or skip VirtualBox VM tasks.

Go to your user account at Rosetta@home, then view Computers on this account.
Click Details for a computer, and at the bottom of the page you'll find the VirtualBox VM jobs setting.
Click the Allow button to receive VirtualBox VM tasks.

If at some point you don't want to receive Rosetta@home's VirtualBox tasks any more, click the Skip button next to the VirtualBox VM jobs setting.

Repeat the process for each of your computers attached to Rosetta@home.

Nice find Maikel. I had deleted that project as I had had no work for a while.
Back on line now. ;)

World Community is still held up with their migration. I have 5 x 100% projects from 21/02/2022 queued for upload.

Yesterday I got the message:
World Community Grid: Notice from BOINC
This project seems to have changed its URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add https://master.worldcommunitygrid.org/

After several times through that cycle, I got an Open Pandemics - COVID 19 task and today I got a Mapping Cancer Markers

However, I am still getting the changed URL message.
I'll try again once these tasks are finished.
