"Cairo" is in Colombo

Mr Edward S~ Moore is cautioned for negligently performing his duty on the 8th May in that by not ascertaining the number of rounds returned after a salute a charge was fired thereby causing injury to 4 persons.

order of C in C E. J. No 01A of 24th July 22

Signed E S Moore, Gunner
G S Currey, Captain

The log of 24th July makes no mention of a Court of Enquiry
and that for 8th May has not appeared (yet) for me to transcribe

I am not altogether sure of the words in red nor can I make sense of the meaning of the words following C in C {thinks, might make more sense if you could read it, end of think}
