Not exactly Scrabble...

SCRABBLE. A badly written log. This term is used by the translators of the Bible at David's feigned madness, when he "scrabbled on the doors of the gate." The Sailor's Word-Book

1st May is G9-G4 May-Day

May Day is a European festival of ancient origins marking the beginning of summer, usually celebrated on 1 May, around halfway between the Northern Hemisphere's Spring equinox and June solstice.

9th May 1671 (H6-H18) Colonel-Blood (with hyphen as it is a name) attempted to steal the Crown Jewels of England.

Its worth a read for his audacity.

The article you cite has a space rather than a hyphen.

True, but spaces between words tend to get used, which is OK I guess. Without the hyphen I can only use Colonel.
How about H6 for Colonel and Blood around the o at I12
Please do as is best.

I normally treat a space the same way I treat a letter.
If I fail to do that, let me know.
A '_' means the place is available. Otherwise, the place has been used.

If you prefer to break the name into pieces, I can do that too.

E 05 MEMORIAL We celebrate and honor military personnel who died in service. Where I grew up, it was also called decoration day. Most graves, military or not, are decorated because it is much better weather than in November at All Souls Day.

5th May 2024 (I08-I20) Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo translates as the fifth of May.
It's a holiday celebrating when the Mexican victory over France in the Battle of Puebla.
Cinco de Mayo is one of the most recognized Mexican holidays in the United States.
It's when people go in search of half-price margaritas and feast on Mexican food.
Over time it has become more of a celebration of Mexican culture.
Cinco de Mayo IS NOT Mexico's Independence Day.

The Romans celebrated the festival of (C07-C11) Flora, goddess of fruit and flowers, which marked the beginning of summer. It was held annually from April 28th to May 3rd.
