June done and uploaded. She was in Seattle the whole time *yawn*.

On to September, the only month left to do (everything else is missing). This should be more interesting, as she's at sea.

I just noticed that starting September 8th, they transcribed courses as PGC instead of PSC:

I looked ahead, and they did this for the rest of the month.

I guess they finally got their gyrocompass fixed - after about 7 months...

Yup 0400-0800 and 0800-1200

September done and uploaded - 1953 is now complete, as the other months are missing entirely.

There was a lot of ice in the first half of the month, she went back to Seattle (the outside way, thankfully) in the second half.
She also traveled with the Burton Island and the USS Redfish - a submarine!

I will do 1954 next - hope she actually does do stuff in Greenland that year, unlike this one.

Well done!
I see the Redfish became a movie star. You can tell everyone that you knew her before she was famous

Sorry, but for now, Kevin is only interested in Alaska.

The voyage for 1953 is done. You can see the voyage plots for Jan-Jun and September and, for more detail, you can download the KML file here. It can be viewed in Google Earth.
