I see it above the i in superior. Very faint, very small, but you guys are right, and it is there. What eyes you people have! Mind you, I prefer the lipstick on the monitor theory!

I think bcz. The amount of Clear Sky is 4, which means 60% cloud, which usually means bc.

I've seen a couple of entries in my logs that looked exactly like that.

No idea. Just write it as by and let the boffins worry about it. Either way, it is insignificant as far as weather goes, i.e. no thunder, rain, snow, hurricane force winds etc. :D

I seem to recall that when I encountered the similar entries, I transcribed them as b~z since I was unsure what the character was.

Our doctor prescribes whiskey to people working those areas when it's really hot.

I suspect that that is not consistent with modern medical practice, but it probably was popular.

I used to get a small bottle of stout when I gave blood in England.

There was even a time when Guinness was given to post-op patients and pregnant women, and as recently as 2010, it was given to people after they donated blood to help replenish their iron levels.

I used to get a glass of beer for giving blood in Germany. When I was giving blood here, for a cancer study, I suggested they do the same. The nurse said that she used to give people a glass of wine when she took blood in France. She doubted that beer and wine would ever be on tap in this country.
