Note 26 walrus on Aug 17 1885 https://archive.org/details/lucretiaste ... r/page/259
example page covers https://archive.org/details/lucretiaste ... r/page/261 (1st Sept)
https://archive.org/details/lucretiaste ... r/page/253 mentions ground ice - this appears fairly often through whaler logs. It may represent a number of different ice forms. The science team request that we note it as 'ground ice' in the sea ice 3 words column.
