At 10.15 called all hands to muster and the Rev. L. Damon read service over the remains of Wm. G. Hance (Chief Gunner's Mate)
At 10.35 the remains and Funeral party left the ship.
At 12:30 men and officers returned from the funeral of Wm. G. Hance (Chief Gunner's Mate)

Rec'd from the police station on shore Pat'r H Friel (1CF) and John Stevenson (S Cook) who were arrested and fined for fast driving.


John Stevenson was rated Ships Cook on April 15.

Sent an officer on shore and brought off John Stevenson (S Cook) Thomas Sullivan (Coxsw), Thomas Dovan (Sea) who had left the ship without permission and were arrested by the police.
