Targets

Post by Randi »

Most of us have seen mentions of targets in the logs, but these are the first pictures I have seen of targets.

Sailors reconstructing a target raft, after it was fired on by Atlantic Fleet battleships
during gunnery practice in Magdalena Bay, Mexico, circa March-April 1908.

Crewmen of one of the USS Connecticut's seven-inch broadside guns pose with their target,
following gunnery practice during the Great White Fleet World cruise, 1908.
