Uboat decoy service in the Mediterranean

Post by Randi »

The following question was posted in Kevin's WW2 Zooniverse transcription project (https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/krw ... /talk/3807).
I know I never transcribed that ship, and a quick search in Gordon's Naval History didn't return anything.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

One of the reports I looked at at the time kind of stood out and I somehow regret not keeping screenshots.

Would it be possible to get access again to the reports I looked at at the time? I still use the email address I used at the time

What made it stood out is that it didn’t contain weather and water data, but it was a diary of a crew running uboat decoy service in the Mediterranean. And I would love to see if I can get some form of exposure for that story.

Thanks in advance for your help 😊

I'm not sure about diary, and I assume WW1 was meant, but it could be HMS Wonganella.
She was a Q-ship, a submarine decoy ship, operating in the Mediterranean.
