Lexicon - logbook built

Post by AvastMH »

Some of the spelling in the log books can be curious, some words are difficult to trace.
Please post those language oddities here.

What would be useful is the word...
  • typed as seen in the log
  • what it was likely to have been
  • the name of the whaler
  • the date that you first spot the error (no need to provide every time it appears)
  • the URL for that page
Thank you!
Typed as seen | likely to be* | Whaler's name | date noted | URL for that page

*Remember to 'Type What You See' when transcribing though.
