F07 Up BOYLEN Anne Boylen was executed on May 19 1536. Second wife of Henry XIII. She pretty much started the Church of England, was mother of Elizabeth I and had more intrigue in the court in 3+ years as queen than would fit in 3 years of a TV drama.

E 05 MEMORIAL We celebrate and honor military personnel who died in service. Where I grew up, it was also called decoration day. Most graves, military or not, are decorated because it is much better weather than in November at All Souls Day.

Randi, Weather reports for the US east coast broadcast in Southern California look as though you have been wiped out 3-4 times this week. Is all OK?

As a kid, I remember seeing ECHO and TelStar passing by. We were out in the open prairie far enough away from Chicago lights to see them occasionally, though which was which would be hard to tell. There's a lot up there now!

Re: Transcriber Weather

The first few years of my retirement we were still in a prolonged drought. I started hanging my laundry out to dry as one of my efforts toward a smaller carbon footprint. I became complacent, on occasion, leaving it out overnight. We were in a drought- it wasn't going to rain. Well, I guess we are o...

I am one of those Americans of Irish heritage. My Great- great grandparents came to the US in the mid- 1850's, mid-potato famine, 100 years +/- before I was born. I must be lucky, I have found numerous 4-leaf clovers as a kid. Luck comes when a child finds playing in the grass and clover entertainin...
