Pioneer also gives bearings on Rocky Reef, I think this may be Rocky Reef Point which is an Alternate Name for Laida Rocks on Geonames but not in the database.

Back to Pioneer. She references a Course Point which I have tracked down via Mapcarta
https://mapcarta.com/24065602
This entry includes a geonames number which I'm not sure how to use as a search term. I'm sure you do!!

I think Geonames should give you a medal, the number of obscure sites you have located and added to their database. Thanks.

Spurn Point is gradually being lost, you can no longer drive to the lighthouse except in an all terrain military vehicle and this flourishing medieval port was in that general vicinity. No doubt climate change will accelerate the process....

There is a light on Walker Island (Camp Island) in Lama Passage

The reference is on page 1-25, since there seems no way of locating that page via a designated page in the weblink.

Some of the non-metric units were more intuitive e.g. 1 angstrom is more or less the diameter of a hydrogen atom, a yard is roughly the distance from a man's nose to the end of his fingers (useful for long bow archers or people measuring cloth). Being a fairly small woman by today's standards I have...
